“INGUS” CASTLE – Hajdukovo

“INGUS” CASTLE – Hajdukovo

The castle is a registered cultural monument and was built by the Jewish winemaking family Ingus, specifically Lipot and Justina, after the First World War, around 1920. In the spring of 1944, Lipot and Justina were sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp, from which they did not return. Their son, Aleksandar Šandor, survived the war and lived in Subotica until 1948.

The castle is not open to visitors.
