OLD PARK IN VELIKI GAJ
The Old Park in Veliki Gaj dates back to the 18th century and is an important natural heritage site. Covering an area of around 5 hectares, it is home to more than 20 species of trees. Among the old trees, particularly noteworthy are the magnificent specimens of pedunculate oak, wych elm, field ash, field maple, Norway maple and Turkish hazel.
The park was established by Josif Malenica, a nobleman from Timișoara.
