Serbian national restaurant “Zal za mladost” (Grief over Youth) was opened in 1995 and it represents the time from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The collection of the Serbian folk costumes and hand-made objects, which the visitors can see in the restaurant, illustrates in the most beautiful way Serbian cultural heritage from the aforementioned period. The restaurant is consisted of a hall with 80 to 100 seats and a terrace that holds another 80 people. If necessary, the seating capacity of the restaurant can be expanded. The restaurant has been proclaimed several times to be the best restaurant in Serbia in the category of national restaurants. Moreover, its terrace has been declared to be the best restaurant’s terrace in Novi Sad in couple of occasions. The affable staff will warmly welcome you at the entrance to the restaurant dressed in Serbian folk costumes and, traditionally, you will be offered salt and bread. Savour the national grilled dishes and old Serbian meals made of diverse sorts of meat and prepared in a traditional way in earthware dishes. Enjoy the finest Serbian wines and old both folk and urban music. We also organize diverse receptions (birthday parties, wedding anniversaries, wedding receptions, etc) in the form of banquets, cocktail parties, cold or warm buffet and garden parties.
