CULTURAL CENTRE – Kovin

The Cultural Centre is the main hub of cultural events in the Municipality of Kovin. We are the only institution in South Banat whose program brings together both professional and amateur content.

In order to offer high-quality and diverse programs, we strive to achieve a higher level of cooperation with cultural and educational institutions, while respecting the cultural needs of citizens and at the same time following contemporary trends in artistic and cultural production.

In cooperation with local community offices, we aim to provide appropriate cultural programs in all settlements, to the extent that conditions allow.

The Cultural Centre carries out its programs in the Theatre Hall, Cinema Hall, Gallery, and the Summer Stage.

The Cultural Centre also includes the Amateur Theatre “Kovin”.

CINEMA

The cinema hall has 441 comfortable seats, a stage with lighting, and a projection booth equipped with two MEO 5 projectors with a RED LIGHT sound reproduction system for 35mm film screenings, as well as a projector for digital video formats and a Dolby surround sound system for digital audio reproduction.

In addition to daily film screenings, the hall is also used for various events, larger theatre performances, entertainment programs, and public gatherings.

THEATRE

The theatre hall, with 269 seats, is equipped with a modern sound system, stage and LED lighting, a concert piano, and separate control booths for lighting and sound that are not visible to the audience, ensuring a complete experience during performances.

The hall is used for professional programs, theatre performances, concerts, panel discussions, literary and academic events, promotions, and a range of other activities.

If necessary, additional seating can be installed, increasing the capacity to 330 seats.

GALLERY

The gallery space is primarily intended for exhibitions, but also for various other activities such as literary evenings, presentations, panel discussions, and certain concerts.

It is an air-conditioned space with good lighting and sound equipment.
