HUNTING GROUND VAROŠKI RIT – Kikinda

Hunting association “Kikinda” from Kikinda, managed hunting ground “Varoški rit” total area of 30.529 ha, of which hunting area includes 25.000 ha. The hunting ground is a flat type.

The hunting ground is located 250 km south-east of Budapest, 85 km south-east of Subotica, 90 km north-east of Novi Sad, 784 km north of Solun, 135 km north of Belgrade and 72 km west of Temisoara. All roads to, and in hunting grund are new and quality.

Forests and forest lands occupy lass then 2% of the hunting area and several years working on a permanent reforestation of all available sites. Through Kikinda hunting area goes 600 km canal network DTD.

Continuously grown kind of game in hunting area “Varoški rit” are roe-deer, wild rabbits, pheasants and field patridge. They also present the fox, marten…

The hunting ground is rich, especially pheasants, mostly thanks to a hunting society “Kikinda” then the “Mlaka” in the vicinity of the town, an area of two hectares, has a well equipped pheasantry.

In addition, listed, there are also and animals in transit: wild boars, wild ducks, wild geese as well quail, doves and pigeon.

Hunting area like this, because the composition of the terrain and vegetation, are ideal for habitat quail and doves them here in large numbers.

In hunting area are in the function next hunting facilities 3 shooting stands, 30 feeding for roe-deer, 10 soloist, 20 troughs, 62 feeding for small game and 4 shelters for pheasants total area of 0.3 ha.
