SYNAGOGUE – Vrbas

SYNAGOGUE – Vrbas

Before the World War II, there was a beautiful synagogue in Vrbas. It was destroyed during the war, and, nowadays, it can be seen only on the old photographs. As a sign of its existence, there is the hexagonal column that belonged to the synagogue on a place where the synagogue used to be.
Two marble tablets, on which the Ten Commandments had been written, were transferred to Israel and, nowadays, they represent the monument to the victims of Nazi terror, namely, the Jewish families from Vrbas.
