CITY PARK – Vršac

CITY PARK – Vršac

In the area where this green oasis stands today, the 18th century saw the country estate of the prominent Šeribl family of Vršac. The Vršac Municipality purchased ‘Šeribl’s Estate’ in 1797, and in 1817 it was renamed ‘City Estate’, later becoming known as ‘City Park’.

Today, the park is protected by the state and is designated as a natural monument of garden architecture in the mixed landscape style. Covering almost 6 hectares, it is home to numerous species of deciduous and evergreen trees. Ornamental shrubs, bushes and a diverse range of flowers, many of which are rare and valuable species, make this park a true botanical garden.
