CULTURAL CENTER – Kačarevo

CULTURAL CENTER – Kačarevo

The Cultural Center in Kačarevo is an institution of special importance for preserving, enhancing, and presenting cultural distinctiveness, as well as for maintaining the national identity and the identity of national minorities. The Cultural Center was established by the Decision of the People’s Committee of the Pančevo Municipality on July 19, 1960, and since then has been engaged in library services, organizing and presenting theater performances, concerts of all musical genres, film screenings, literary promotions, panel discussions, lectures, exhibitions, and similar activities.

The main strategic objectives of the Cultural Center are focused on presenting and promoting culture and tradition, supporting and promoting young artists, developing professional and inter-institutional cooperation, and promoting equality and multiculturalism. Through occasional and traditional events that we organize, we strive to bring our work closer to the public through cultural and educational content. A festival we particularly highlight and have been organizing for eight years is the Satire and Humor Festival “Žaoka,” held annually at the end of October.

The Cultural Center’s program activities take place in two physically separate buildings: the Cultural Center building at 37 Maršala Tita Street, 26212 Kačarevo, and the Youth Center building at 13 Maršala Tita Street, 26212 Kačarevo.
