PLAVA ZVEZDA THERMAL SPA – Sremska Mitrovica

Detailed hydrogeological investigations were carried out in 1994 at the thermal spring in Salaš Noćajski, south of Sremska Mitrovica, within whose municipal area the village is located. As part of the investigations, an exploratory borehole, designated ISN-S, was drilled and fitted with a well casing.

Between 1994 and 2004, numerous studies and chemical analyses were conducted to determine the quality of the water and its effects on the human body. The thermal mineral water spring is located at a depth of 492 metres. It produces a flow of 7 litres of water per second, at a temperature of 40°C.

The considerable depth of the source accounts for the water’s softness, making it significantly softer than bottled waters, particularly those available on the domestic market and beyond. The spring is also characterised by an exceptional chemical composition and excellent bacteriological quality.

When absorbed through the skin, the minerals in the thermal mineral water enter the body and are distributed to the areas where they are most needed. The water helps relieve stress and pain and improve circulation.

After spending time in the thermal pools, visitors can return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The thermal baths are also open during the winter, making it particularly important to protect the body from exposure to cold temperatures, draughts and air conditioning. After the muscles and connective tissues have been warmed, exposure to cold may trigger adverse reactions, such as stiffness in the joints and spine.

It is also advisable to avoid strenuous physical activity immediately after visiting the pools. For the same number of days spent enjoying the thermal water, it is recommended that you take particular care of your body after returning home to help maintain the beneficial effects. Continue to drink sufficient fluids every day, as is customary during spa treatments, to support kidney function and prevent dehydration. Pay attention to your diet, too, and keep your intake of fatty foods and sugar under control.

Bathing in thermal mineral water raises the body’s temperature, potentially helping it to fight harmful bacteria and viruses. Improved blood circulation also supports the removal of toxins and promotes better blood supply throughout the body. In this way, bathing in thermal mineral water is believed to help strengthen the immune system and prepare the body for normal daily functioning.function.
