CHARDA AND MARINA “OPAVA” – Opovo

The association was created with the desire to preserve the nature in which we live and to preserve what Opovo and its locals always been proud of – the Tamiš.

Our goals are: improving environmental protection, education of citizens, especially young people and children about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment and waterways, especially the Tamiš River with its coast, a commitment to the preservation and development of fish stocks river Tamiš, endangered species of birds and animals, the development of nautical tourism and water sports, organizing activities on the rehabilitation of affected areas, public advocacy for changing habits regarding the use and preservation of natural resources and in terms of handling of waste materials. Within the association, on the left bank of the Tamiš, near Opovo bridge there is a marina for boats.

Here you can: draw or lower your boat into the Tamiš at any time of the year, leave your boat and motor for safekeeping, but if not, you can rent them here for one or more days on the river Tamiš. You can also get all the necessary information related to the Tamiš at the moment. The marina has (for now) thirty berths for boats as well as the security service. At the entrance to the marina, there is a parking spot for your car. Marina can also offer sites for campers. If you come in a group, we can take a cruise on Tamiš and show you its untouched nature. Due to its accessibility, this place (marine) is recommended as a starting point to your destination by Tamiš.
