CULTURAL CENTER”25.MAJ”- Dolovo

The Cultural Center “25. maj” in Dolovo was established on July 19, 1960. Within its 1,600-square-meter building, there is a large hall that accommodates 405 spectators, as well as a disco hall, which is used daily—mornings for the needs of the Board Games Club and the Café Reading Room, and afternoons and evenings for the Cultural Center’s programs, entertainment events, association activities (meetings, events, and celebrations), and rehearsals of the folklore ensemble.

The Cultural Center’s library has a collection of approximately 12,000 books, which grows each year through the purchase of new titles, acquisition of second-hand books of significance, and donations from benefactors.

The Cultural Center also houses social rooms for the needs of associations operating within Dolovo. As part of the Women’s Association “Dolovke,” an ethnographic room has been established, equipped with items characteristic of the traditional household culture of Dolovo residents in the past.

The Cultural Center in Dolovo is a public institution that forms the foundation of the cultural life of Dolovo. Through the implementation of cultural and artistic programs, work with children and youth, and institutional, logistical, technical, and program support for others (associations, groups, and individuals) in organizing events and cultural activities, this Cultural Center serves as the organizational hub of the community. Its purpose is to meet the cultural needs of Dolovo residents, preserve and present Dolovo’s cultural heritage, and support amateur cultural activity.
