MUSEUM OF NAÏVE ART ‘ILIJANUM’ – Šid

MUSEUM OF NAÏVE ART ‘ILIJANUM’ – Šid

The gallery is named after the naïve painter from Šid, Ilija Bašičević – Bosilj (1895–1972), who, from 1963 onwards, exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Serbia and abroad. Bašičević’s paintings are held in several domestic and international galleries and museums specializing in naïve art.

In addition to a large number of paintings—including oils on glass and hardboard, gouaches, and drawings—organized in cycles such as Apocalypse, Bible, Flying, Iliad, Birds, and Animals, the gallery also exhibits works by naïve artists from Serbia and abroad.
