Početna / Experiences / ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH – Kikinda
The Roman Catholic Church was built between 1808 and 1811 with the support of Emperor Francis I of Austria. A Franciscan monastery, which also served as the parish house, was built next to the church. The church is dedicated to St Francis of Assisi. Its notable features include an acoustically impressive pipe organ and a white altar made of marble from Aranđelovac. The four paintings depicting scenes from the Gospels were created by László Kéri and his sons.
