The main activity of the Library is the acquisition, preservation, and provision of library materials and information for use.
On weekdays, the library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All citizens may become users of the library by registering and receiving a membership card. The annual membership fee is 300 RSD. Children, pupils, and students pay a reduced fee of 200 RSD. A family membership costs 150 RSD and can be used by at least two members of the same family. A group membership costs 200 RSD.
Users may borrow up to three titles for a period of 15 days. In the reading room, personal publications may also be used. In addition to literary works, the library holds professional and reference literature from all fields of human knowledge.
With the assistance of librarians, users can access all information about the collection through both print and electronic catalogues. In addition to books, users can also access daily and weekly newspapers and magazines.
The Cyber Corner provides three computers for writing essays, graduation papers, and seminar papers. Scanning, printing, photocopying, and internet access are also available.
Once a week, the library organizes cultural and educational programs for both adults and young users. These include book promotions, lectures, panel discussions, and meetings with writers. Periodically, sales exhibitions of books from various publishers and distributors are also organized.
