”STERIJA” NATIONAL THEATRE – Vršac
Theatrical life in Vršac has existed for over two centuries. In 1761, a large Serbian magistrate building was constructed, which served as a permanent theatre for more than 100 years. The first theatre performances in Vršac were staged around 1770 by theatre troupes from Timișoara, the administrative and cultural center of Southern Banat.
