THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY – Kukujevci

In Kukujevci village, placed 10 kilometers on the south- east part of Šid, in 1770. was built the Roman Catholic church of the Holy Trinity. Near the one nave temple was built the belfry with the side built sections, whose facades – diagonally placed looking the front part of the walls- perfectly made the difference in wideness between the central part of the church and belfry. High plinth, shallow pilastars, profiled horizontal wraths and narrow windows represent the dominant architectonic elements in the outer work on the church. The belfry was finished in pyramid shape, only for one-third higher than the main part of the church and without characteristic baroque marks. That gives the monumental shape of the monument. As the building is oriented in the direction north – south, five directed presbyterium is placed on the north part of the church, while on the east side is the sacristy.
