SOMBOR NATIONAL THEATRE – Sombor

SOMBOR NATIONAL THEATRE – Sombor

The National Theatre was officially opened on November 25, 1882. The building, originally designed in the Neoclassical style, was frequently modified over time, resulting in its current eclectic appearance. Although a theatrical tradition in Sombor dates back to the 18th century, it took a long time for the city to have a building specifically dedicated to stage art. Nevertheless, Sombor gained a typical chamber theatre with a 324-seat auditorium and a painted ceiling.
