HISTORICAL ARCHIVЕ SENTA – Senta

The Historical Archive in Senta operates within the territory of five present-day municipalities: Kanjiža, Senta, Ada, Bečej, and Srbobran, covering the northern part of the former Royal District on the right bank of the Tisa River. The Archive is responsible for preserving archival materials of municipal and regional significance. It was established in 1952 as the City State Archive.
Nearly 750 archival fonds are available to researchers and anyone interested in historical content. Of particular note is the collection of donor letters, privilege charters, and numerous other documents related to the city’s history.
Within the Archive operates the “Dudaš Đula” Circle of Friends of the Museum and Archive, founded in 1961 as an association dedicated to publishing and promoting works related to local history.
