THE BAPTIST CHURCH – Bački Petrovac
The Baptist church in Bački Petrovac was found in 1897. The old church building in the centre of the village so celebrated its 100 anniversary. Because the number of believers was growing in 2000., the vision was born for building new, modern temple with all the contents. In the next few years this vision became the truth. The whole project was mainly built by the voluntary work of some homeland firms and some foreign one. The solemn opening of the new church building was on June, 26th 2005. The message of the opening was “…because my home will be called the prayer home for all the people.”(holy Bible, Isaia 56,7b). This verse even today represents the holy service of Baptist church in Petrovac, and other as well. Beside the main hall, (850 seats) there are also some halls for creative services for all generations.
