RESTAURANT “PROBUS” – Sremska Mitrovica

Restaurant “Probus” is situated in Sremska Mitrovica, on the very bank of the Sava River. There is a beautiful view of the Sava River from the restaurant.


It was built in 1960, and in 2007 it was completely renovated and air-conditioned. It is consisted of several separated wholes. Regularly, it has a capacity of 88 seats, but during the celebrations it can attend up to 190 people. There is also a terrace with 60 seats.


The restaurant was named after the Roman Emperor Marko Aurelije Probus (276 – 282 AD) who was born in Sirmium (nowadays Sremska Mitrovica). He brought the first grape vine from South Italy to Fruska Gora. Moreover, certain regions in Austria and France believe that he initiated viticulture there, as well.


Working hours: every day from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm; at weekends from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.
