Početna / Experiences / ETHNO HOUSE “MARGITA” – Apatin
There is an old town house in Apatin which was built from 1927-1929. It was built by the famous Apatin “clinker” bricks, which at the time was available only to wealthy families and with that brick were built many buildings in Vienna and Budapest. The house is preserved in authentic style, as if nothing had changed from the time when it was built. Rooms in a residential part of the house are furnished with original furniture from the beginning of the twentieth century, so a special charm provide unique tile stoves in each room, which are still in operation. Large garden has numerous exhibits dating from the nineteenth century, thus residence in this environment takes visitors back to the old days where people used to live and work. The house was owned by a family which dealt with craft activities, production of natural vinegar, for the area of northern Bačka.
