The Cultural Center Ruma began operations on October 27, 1985, in a newly constructed, modern building covering 3,600 m². The activities of the Cultural Center are based on organizing stage, film, music, visual arts, and literary programs.
Facilities:
Main Hall (theater and cinema): 700-seat capacity, circular stage, and orchestra pit. The stage area is 400 m², suitable for both chamber and large opera productions.
Small Hall: 262-seat capacity, regular film screenings every evening in two showings.
Grand Hall: Used for art exhibitions, book promotions, literary evenings, and café cinema events.
Conference Room: 80-seat capacity, hosting panel discussions, lectures, meetings, symposiums, and presentations.
Disco Club: Regular disco nights and available for private rentals such as birthday parties and other celebrations.
In addition to hosting professional artistic productions, the Cultural Center successfully supports and features performances by amateur cultural-artistic groups, including:
City Theater Ruma
City Mixed Choir “Branimir Marković”
Folk Dance and Song Ensemble “Branko Radičević”
City Tamburitza Orchestra “Branko Radičević”
Vocal-Instrumental Ethno Ensemble “Vrelo”
The Center also plays a key role in organizing provincial and national amateur music festivals in cooperation with the Ruma Municipal Assembly and the Association of Amateurs of Vojvodina, including:
Festival of Musical Societies of Vojvodina
Festival of Tamburitza Orchestras of Serbia
Theater Festival Trema Fest, in collaboration with City Theater RumaAdditionally, the Cultural Center organizes municipal recitation competitions, music and drama showcases, regional visual arts exhibitions, and other cultural-artistic and community programs.
