CHURCH OF SAINT DEMETRIUS – Ljuba

It was built in 1910. The village Ljuba is situated on the west slopes of Fruška Gora, few kilometres on the Nort of Erdevik. There, on the place of old wooden chapel from the beginning of XIX century, was built the church dedicated to St. Demetrius in 1910. The building is not very large, it’s on one nave, with mortared and whitewashed bricks, with altar put on oval part of the wall on the East side, while on the West directly from two drained roof covered with pepper tile there is high above the ground the construction of the bell tower. Beside the two entrances at the West and South wall and half –circled finished windows there are no other architectonic decorations on the village church in Ljuba. Inside the church, with low partition the parvis is separated from naos and the iconostasis from altar part.
