Strengthening Community Participation in Culture and Tourism – First Workshop within the CAST Project

The Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, with the support of the Tourism Organisation of the Municipality of Sremski Karlovci, is organising a participatory workshop within the framework of the CAST project. The workshop is intended for representatives of institutions, organisations, associations, and other stakeholders involved in shaping the cultural life, events, and tourism offer of Sremski Karlovci.

The workshop will take place in Sremski Karlovci Municipality on 9 June, starting at 12:00 PM. Its aim is to bring together members of the local community to discuss ways of increasing citizens’ participation in cultural and tourism activities, as well as exploring how cultural programmes can become more accessible, inclusive, and relevant to different groups within the community.

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives on who currently takes part in the cultural life of Sremski Karlovci, which groups remain less engaged, and what actions could encourage broader community participation in cultural and tourism-related activities.

The insights and suggestions gathered during the workshop will provide an important foundation for the future activities of the CAST project, which seeks to strengthen the role of culture as a driver of community development, social cohesion, and well-being.

We invite all relevant stakeholders from the fields of culture, tourism, education, civil society, and local government to join the workshop and contribute to a shared vision for the future development of cultural life in Sremski Karlovci.
