Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina Participates in CAST Partner Meeting in Budva

The Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina participated in the CAST partner meeting, held from 2 to 5 September 2026 in Budva, Montenegro, as part of the CAST – Culture trAnSforming communiTies and economies project.

The partner meeting provided an opportunity for partners to exchange experiences, review the progress achieved so far, and define the next steps in the implementation of project activities. Particular attention was given to the partners’ pilot activities, their progress to date, planned activities for the upcoming period, and the support needed to further advance their implementation.

One of the key topics of the meeting was storytelling as an important tool for presenting and promoting cultural heritage. Through a workshop and short presentations, the partners explored ways to present their pilot activities in a clear, authentic and engaging manner, connecting cultural resources with the stories of local communities and tourism offerings.

As part of the programme, a study visit to Cetinje was also organised, providing participants with an opportunity to explore the city’s tourism offer and the ways in which its cultural and historical heritage is presented to visitors. The programme included visits to the King Nikola’s Palace and the Njegoš Mausoleum, with a particular focus on the authenticity and accessibility of the tourism offer.

The cultural dimension of the programme was further enriched by attendance at the 20th Petrovac Jazz Festival, offering participants an opportunity to experience another example of how culture, the local community and tourism can be brought together.

The participation of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina in the CAST partner meeting contributes to the continued exchange of knowledge and experience with partners from the Danube Region and to joint efforts aimed at developing cultural tourism, empowering local communities, and valorising cultural heritage through innovative approaches.
