Conference “Inclusive Tourism as a Potential for Development and Investment in the Danube Region”

The conference on inclusive tourism was held on June 3 in Moravske Toplice, Slovenia. The event was organized by Zavod Iskriva, in cooperation with key regional and EU partners. The conference builds on the activities of several EU projects, including IBC, CAST, Space4All, ICTr-CE, and NONA. Representatives of public institutions, experts, entrepreneurs, and EU project partners from across the Danube region gathered with the aim of exploring how inclusive tourism can contribute to regional development, empower local communities, and improve quality of life for all.

From inspiring opening speeches to three thematic panels, the day was filled with knowledge and experience exchange. The first panel focused on investments in tourism for the benefit of both local residents and visitors; the second addressed how to develop and promote the Danube region as an inclusive destination; while the third panel presented innovations and good practices in the field of inclusive tourism.

The conference clearly demonstrated that inclusive tourism is not only a matter of social responsibility, but also a strategic opportunity for the sustainable development of the region. Through the exchange of knowledge and examples of good practice, a shared commitment was strengthened toward creating accessible destinations that serve all people equally.
