ORTHODOX CHURCH ASSUMPTION OF THE HOLY MOTHER OF GOD – Bački Jarak

Building of an Orthodox church Assumption of the Holy Mother of God started in 1998 in Backi Jarak. The church was finished in 2002 when it was opened for the public. The church`s celebration is The Assumption of the Holy Mother of God in August 28th. Thanks to many donators, founders, contributors, believers, firms, private entrepreneurs, local self-governments and local communities, the most complicated works around the church were finished in a short period of time as well as the building of a bell tower and getting the church bell. The height of the church is 35m, length is 25m and width is 10m. The height of a bell tower is 30m and it has been placed on the left side of the church.
