GERMAN EVANGELICAL CHURCH – Maglić
In the second half of the eighteenth century, during the colonization of Buljkes , ie. of present Maglić, a wooden building for prayer was erected. Since it is due to poor materials it soon became dilapidated and ruined, and the residents from Buljkes unanimously decided to build a new church in 1814. The foundation stone was laid on September 29th, 1817 and in October 1820 the church was completed. Above the door the inscription “Deo et DeVoton BULkeszenes DICant eVangeLICI”, is placed which means “dedicated devotion of evangelical from Buljkes”. The year 1820 is read from the capital Latin letters. The external appearance of the building is in the Baroque style. The interior of the church building was damaged after the Second World War.
