Restaurant ‘Sidro’ is located in Beška, on the banks of the Danube beneath the Beška bridge, 4 km away from the city center. Beška is located 35 kilometers from Novi Sad, and 50 kilometers from Belgrade. From the restaurant terrace, as well as the rooms, one gets a beautiful view on beščanski bridge, the most beautiful sunset on the Danube in Srem, a long Danube Road, wide Kovilj marshlands, as well as the peaks of Fruška gora.

Restaurant “Sidro” (Anchor) mostly offers fish specialties, fish broth, dishes on order and grilled meat dishes, etc. The restaurant has been working successfully due to top class service, fine tamburitza players, and affordable prices. The appetites of the hungry guests’ anchor and they are being satisfied at the dining table of Restaurant “Sidro”. It is situated near the international highway Budapest – Belgrade and below a bridge near Beska. You can taste various specialties, particularly the delicious pieces of smoked carp, pike, and pikeperch.

The rhythm of the Restaurant’s life is dictated by the waiters, chefs, neighbors, fishermen, and painters. And, most of all, by the guests!  The restaurant is raised above the river so that the high water levels of the Danube could not harm it. This provides a particular enjoyment; whether the guests are in a hall or on a terrace, they are sitting above the water. There is a beautiful view of the Danube woods, the green of Kovilj Marsh on Backa riverside, and the Bridge of Beska that connects two banks. Mostly the visitors from Novi Sad and Belgrade, but also those from Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Italy, and other countries, savor the renowned fish specialties.

The restaurant is often visited by the numerous staff members of the embassies from Belgrade. Besides entertainment, it provides accommodation in 34 double and 5 triple rooms. The rooms are modernly furnished. Each has a double bed, mini bar, a safe, a telephone, air conditioning and a TV. Some rooms have a balcony and a jacuzzi.

It offers a full board for your pleasant stay at the riverbank.  The restaurant has 250 seats altogether disposed of in a hall and on a terrace. Tamburitza band plays every day from 3:00 pm to 12:00 pm. There is also a car park for 30 vehicles and moorings for boats. Payment can be arranged by Visa Card and Master Card.

The hall for seminars, weddings, birthdays, baptisms and other celebrations can accommodate up to 350 guests. It is located near the restaurant. It possesses full audio and video equipment. The hall has a professional air conditioning and ventilation system (CAC).
