The vineyard and cellar owned by Sava Savic are situated in Sremska Kamenica, on the slopes of Fruska Gora. The tradition of vine growing of Savic family is over 150 years old. In 1854, Jova Savic, Sava’s great-great-grandfather, came to Kamenica and there he planted his first vine stock. Love for grapes and wine has been handed down from generation to generation. Sava’s great-grandfather, Vlado, was making high-quality wine, which was being served in the best restaurants in Novi Sad. He taught his descendants that the quality of wine must always be the most important task. In the past, the family-owned more vineyards than today. Nowadays, vineyards encompass 2.5 ha of land. Various sorts of wine are produced, such as Italian Riesling, Zupljanka, Rubinet, White and Red Bermet. It is intended to plant another 2 ha of vineyards. An old cellar was renovated in 1986 and it was equipped with modern machines and contemporary barrels for keeping wines. Nowadays, the wines are mostly kept in inox barrels. By combining tradition with top-class technology, Sava continues what his ancestors started.
