The history of family production we can follow since 1850. During the time the winery Kurjak had to face many problems. But, the production stayed and so today we have the pleasure to drink excellent wines from this old Karlovci winery. The annual production in this cellar is 10.000 l of perfect wine. The Kurjak winery produces white and black wines. When white sorts are concerned they grow Riesling and neoplanta, and of black cabernet and merlot. It is important also to mention bermet, inevitable wine when Karlovci are concerned. The Kurjak winery annually produces about 1000 l of this really special wine. This winery took part in many fair manifestations throughout Serbia, where it had many good results, and one of the most important is “Gold Medal” for bermet on Novi Sad Fair. Of course, it is planned to enlarge the production, so in 2007 it was planted more than 6.000 grapevine plants. It is important to emphasize the fact that even the youngest members of this family are involved into the production. Although the vineyards need much work, time, will and effort, they are willing to continue the long family tradition.
