CHURCH OF THE PRESENTATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY – Vrbas

It was built in 1744., and it is dedicated to the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God. The iconostasis was painted by J. Kistner, in 1862, and the gild was done by Nikola Dimšić. The icons were painted by Jovan Klajić in the period of 1858. to 1862. In the technique oil on the canvas, papered on the wood. In the church you can see this icons: The Christ and the Sammaritian, the Temptation of the Christ, The Most Holy Mother of the God, The Christ, The Archangel Michael, the Annuanciation, the St. Georg, The Entry, the Secret Dinner, the Birth of the St. John Precusor, the Birth of the Christ, the Christening, the Resurrection, the Prayer in Gestiman Garden, the Crucifixion, the Most Holy Mother of God with the Christ, the St. John the Golden Mouth, …All the icons which are mentioned have extremely big art value. In the backyard of Serbian Orthodox Church, there is the monument of Arsenije Čarnojević, because on his way to the north, came and spent few days exactly at the place where today is the church.
