“ŠUVAKOV SALAŠ” ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE – Vrbas

Archaeological research provides numerous insights into this area, among which a special place is held by “Šuvakov Salaš” (a settlement dating from the 10th to the early 16th century). At that time, houses were built partially or entirely dug into the ground, constructed of rammed earth, while the surrounding landscape was characterized by brushwood, forests, mud, and marshes.
