STRAW-WORK ART GALLERY – Donji Tavankut
Straw-work art represents a unique form of naïve folk art, nurtured in Subotica and its surroundings. The Naïve Colony in Straw Technique has been organized in Tavankut, a village near Subotica, since 1986. The best works from the colony are displayed in the Gallery itself. In addition to the permanent collection, the Gallery organizes exhibitions to promote art in the straw technique. It is located in an authentic village house in the center of Donji Tavankut, 17 km from Subotica.
