“STOJAN TRUMIĆ” PUBLIC LIBRARY AND GALLERY – Titel
The “Stojan Trumić” Public Library is organized as a municipal institution and is the only cultural institution in the entire municipality of Titel. The library has been operating for more than sixty years. It was founded after the Second World War, more precisely on July 29, 1945, as a Public Reading Room and Library.
It is a small library with a collection of 17,226 books.
The “Stojan Trumić” Memorial Gallery is a bequest consisting of 616 artworks by this distinguished expressionist painter. The gallery was established in 1980 from an original collection of drawings and paintings that Stojan Trumić donated to his hometown. The idea for its creation arose during the painter’s first solo exhibitions in Titel.
Today, the Memorial Gallery houses 616 of his artworks, as well as his painting tools, personal belongings, awards, and his private library.
