NOVI SAD THEATRE – Novi Sad

The Novi Sad Theatre (Ujvidéki Színház) was founded in 1973 with the aim of developing theatrical art and preserving the purity of the Hungarian spoken language and literary expression. The theatre has produced numerous performances both in Novi Sad and on tours בארץ and abroad.

In addition to this professional theatre, many amateur groups also perform plays in the Hungarian language. Among the most well-known are: the Cultural and Artistic Society “Sándor Petőfi” from Mužlja, the Cultural and Artistic Society “Egység” from Kikinda, the Cultural and Artistic Society “Sándor Petőfi” from Kupusina, the Cultural and Artistic Society “János Arany” from Srbobran, the Cultural and Artistic Society “Népkör” from Kula, Theatre “Orfej” from Čoka, the Senta Theatre Group, the Cultural and Artistic Society “Attila József” from Debeljača, and others.
