GALLERY OF NAIVE ART IN PADINA – Padina

The exhibition space where naïve artists from Padina display their works is located in the Mihal Babinka Cultural Center and was opened in the mid-1970s. In 2011, the naïve artists from Padina founded the citizens’ association “Smäd” – Thirst.

The Padina Gallery of Naïve Art is characterized by a non-purpose-built gallery space, which poses challenges for setting up permanent exhibitions. However, its capacity is significant for showcasing the works of naïve painters who are not members of the Kovačica Gallery of Naïve Art.

The works of these artists were initially exhibited during the Youth Day celebrations on May 25, but later the date for the joint exhibition was moved to September, coinciding with the traditional Padina Days of Culture. Some of the artists include Mihal Povolni, Jan Husarik, Jan Bačur, Marci Markov, Pavel Ljavroš, Janko Širka, Martin Pap, Ana Kotvašová, Pavel Povolni-Juhas, and Juraj Ljavroš.
