Vojvodina Records Tourism Growth in the First Seven Months of 2026

Vojvodina continues to record positive tourism results. In the first seven months of 2026, a total of 412,538 tourist arrivals were registered, representing a 6.7% increase compared with the same period last year. During the same period, 1,115,978 overnight stays were recorded, 4% more than between January and July 2025.

According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, domestic tourists accounted for 208,847 arrivals and 524,158 overnight stays, with arrivals up by 7.1% and overnight stays by 3.1%. The number of international visitors reached 203,691, an increase of 6.4% compared with the previous year, while they generated 591,820 overnight stays, marking a 4.9% rise. Particularly encouraging is the fact that international visitors recorded more overnight stays than domestic tourists, further confirming Vojvodina’s growing recognition on the international tourism market.

Among Vojvodina’s destinations, Novi Sad and Subotica stand out, recording 127,975 and 82,997 tourist arrivals respectively during the first seven months of the year. This represents increases of 10.1% and 8.6%. Novi Sad recorded 319,235 overnight stays, 1.8% more than in the same period of 2025, while Subotica registered 185,190 overnight stays, an increase of 9.9%. Sombor also continued its positive trend, with 8,709 arrivals and a 6.5% increase compared with the previous year.

Vrdnik Spa further confirmed its position as one of Vojvodina’s leading tourist destinations. In the first seven months of 2026, it welcomed 65,736 visitors, 16.1% more than a year earlier, while 148,065 overnight stays were recorded, representing a remarkable 17.6% increase. Meanwhile, Fruška Gora recorded 63,787 arrivals, up 9%, and 133,715 overnight stays, an increase of 6.7%. Particularly notable was the 11.8% growth in domestic tourist arrivals to Fruška Gora.
