Vojvodina continues to record positive tourism trends. In the first eight months of 2026, a total of 493,161 tourist arrivals were recorded, representing a 6.5% increase compared with the same period last year, while 1,345,637 overnight stays were registered, 3.6% more than in the January–August 2025 period.
According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, domestic tourists accounted for 242,760 arrivals and 629,898 overnight stays, with arrivals increasing by 6.3% and overnight stays by 2.5%. The number of foreign tourist arrivals reached 250,401, an increase of 6.7% compared with last year, while 715,739 overnight stays were recorded, representing a 4.6% increase. Foreign visitors therefore continued to account for more overnight stays than domestic tourists during the first eight months of the year, confirming the importance of the international market to tourism in Vojvodina.
Among Vojvodina’s destinations, Novi Sad and Subotica stand out in particular, recording 148,234 and 102,197 tourist arrivals respectively during the first eight months of the year, with increases of 10% and 8.6%. Novi Sad recorded 368,361 overnight stays, 2.4% more than in the same period of 2025, while Subotica recorded 225,628 overnight stays, an increase of 9.2%. Sombor also recorded positive growth, with 10,114 arrivals, representing an increase of 3.7%.
Vrdnik Spa further confirms its status as one of Vojvodina’s key tourist destinations. In the first eight months of the year, it welcomed 79,181 tourists, 14.5% more than in the previous year, while 186,921 overnight stays were recorded, representing an increase of 16.8%. At the same time, Fruška Gora recorded 76,818 arrivals, an increase of 7.9%, and 168,855 overnight stays, representing growth of 4.4%.
