Vojvodina Sees Growth in Tourism in the First Half of 2026

Tourism in Vojvodina continued its positive growth trend during the first half of 2026. According to the latest data published by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the Vojvodina Region recorded a significant increase in tourism activity in the period from January to June 2026 compared to the same period of the previous year.

During the first six months of the year, a total of 338,413 tourist arrivals were recorded in Vojvodina, representing an increase of 7.5%. Growth was recorded in both domestic and foreign tourist arrivals. Domestic tourist arrivals reached 179,883, which is 8.4% more than in the same period last year, while foreign tourist arrivals totalled 158,530, representing a 6.5% increase.

Positive trends were also reflected in the number of overnight stays. During the first six months of 2026, a total of 905,632 overnight stays were recorded in Vojvodina, representing a 4.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Domestic tourists accounted for 434,517 overnight stays, an increase of 4.6%, while foreign tourists registered 471,115 overnight stays, representing a 5.3% increase.

Particularly encouraging are the data confirming the continued rise in interest among foreign visitors in Vojvodina’s tourism offering, indicating the Province’s growing international recognition as an attractive destination for holidays, cultural tourism, gastronomy, events, and outdoor activities.

Among Vojvodina’s tourist centres, Novi Sad recorded a 12.5% increase in the total number of tourist arrivals compared to the first half of 2025, further strengthening its position as one of the most important tourism destinations in Vojvodina and Serbia.

These results confirm that Vojvodina continues to develop a competitive and diverse tourism offering, attracting an increasing number of domestic and international visitors year after year.
