Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina at the Panel “EXPO 2027: New Horizons for the Economy and Tourism of Vojvodina”

As part of the Check In Conference, a panel entitled “EXPO 2027: New Horizons for the Economy and Tourism of Vojvodina” was held, focusing on the opportunities that the upcoming Specialized International Exhibition will bring to the development of the economy and tourism in the Province.

The panel participants included Nenad Ivanišević, PhD, Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism, Milivoj Kovačević, Director of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, Dejan Radosavljević, Director of the Tourism Organisation of the City of Novi Sad, and Slobodan Cvetković, Director of the Novi Sad Fair.

Speaking about the importance of EXPO 2027 for the tourism sector, participants highlighted that Vojvodina offers a diverse and authentic tourism experience based on its rich cultural heritage, multicultural character, gastronomy, natural resources, traditional farmsteads (salaši), and an increasingly developed range of active holiday opportunities. Particular emphasis was placed on the hospitality of the local population, which represents one of the most valuable assets of Vojvodina’s tourism offer.

During the discussion, plans were presented for the creation of thematic tourist routes that will further enrich visitors’ stay during EXPO 2027 and enable them to explore different parts of the Province in a meaningful and engaging way. By connecting natural, cultural, and gastronomic attractions, a unique tourism product is being developed that responds to contemporary travel trends and visitors’ expectations.

The panel concluded that EXPO 2027 represents a significant development opportunity to enhance the international visibility of AP Vojvodina and further strengthen its position as a recognizable destination offering authentic and high-quality experiences to visitors.
