At the invitation of the Tourism Organisation of the Municipality of Temerin, representatives of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina visited Temerin to learn more about the local tourism offer, cultural heritage and opportunities for developing various forms of tourism, including gastronomic tourism.

During the visit, a meeting was held between Milivoj Kovačević, Acting Director of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, and Adrijana Gilanji Vučinac, Director of the Tourism Organisation of the Municipality of Temerin. Discussions focused on the importance of cooperation between the provincial and local tourism organisations, the exchange of experience, and opportunities to enhance the promotion of Temerin and link it with the tourism offer of other parts of Vojvodina.

The programme included visits to the Brvnara Ethno Park in Bački Jarak, the souvenir shop of the Tourism Organisation of the Municipality of Temerin, and the Tajhaz Heritage House, which features a Creative House and an art gallery. These attractions introduce visitors to the traditions, cultural heritage and creative activities of the local community.

The history of Sečen Castle was also presented. Today, the building houses the Lukijan Mušicki Secondary School, while the Old Park in its immediate vicinity, together with the mansion, bears witness to the historical development of Temerin.

The exploration of the local tourism offer also included the gastronomic specialities for which Temerin is known. At Buca’s Farmstead, the Temerin Schnitzel was presented, while the Break4Cake patisserie in Bački Jarak introduced visitors to the story behind the Temerin Cake, which adds to the area’s gastronomic offer.

Milivoj Kovačević, Acting Director of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, emphasised the importance of first-hand experience of local tourism attractions in strengthening links between tourism providers and developing joint promotional activities.

The working visit provided an opportunity to exchange experience and gain first-hand insight into the potential for further cooperation. By connecting local tourism attractions and implementing joint promotional activities, the visibility of individual destinations can be enhanced and the diverse tourism offer of Vojvodina presented to a wider audience.
