Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina at the 68th “Grožđebal” in Vršac

From 17 to 20 September, Vršac hosted the 68th “Grožđebal”, a traditional grape harvest festival dedicated to wine, viticulture and the traditions of this part of Serbia.

Over the course of four days, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy wine-related programmes, cultural and artistic performances, live music, and a variety of activities for all generations. A special place was reserved for Wine Square, where wineries from Vršac presented their products, giving visitors the opportunity to taste local wines and discover the rich winemaking tradition of the area.

During their stay in Vršac, representatives of the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, at the invitation of the Tourism Organisation of Vršac, attended the official opening of the 68th “Grožđebal”, as well as the accompanying programmes that brought together numerous guests and visitors. Meetings with representatives of the tourism sector provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, good practices and ideas, as well as to further strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism.

This year, too, “Grožđebal” brought together wine, tradition and a diverse programme, turning Vršac into a lively meeting place throughout the event. In addition to the wine offering, visitors were drawn to concerts, cultural and artistic performances and local gastronomy. The festival also offered an opportunity to experience Vršac from a different perspective – through its winemaking tradition and the atmosphere surrounding the grape harvest season.

With its long-standing winemaking tradition, distinctive landscapes of the Vršac Mountains and rich cultural heritage, Vršac is an important part of Vojvodina’s tourism offer. “Grožđebal” holds an important place in the city’s tourism offer and is a good example of how events can contribute to destination promotion, attract visitors and offer them an opportunity to experience Vršac through its flavours, stories and atmosphere.
