The Tourism Organization of Vojvodina had the pleasure of hosting leading tour operators and representatives of travel agencies from Russia last week. The visit was initiated by the tour operator “Amigo tours” from Moscow, with the organizer Tatjana Temnjusova. The guests from Russia were shown the entire tourist offer of Vojvodina, the proposed tours in Vojvodina were presented, and they had the opportunity to see a part of the tourist offer in person in the field. The tour of the tourist attractions of Vojvodina was in line with the current epidemiological public health measures related to the situation with the corona virus.
In addition to presenting the tourist attractions, the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina prepared a presentation of traditional gastronomy on Salas 137 for the colleagues from Russia. Enjoying the traditional dishes, the guests had the opportunity to participate in the preparation of quince cheese, a Vojvodina tradition which won all the sympathies of those present. The acting director of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina – Natasa Pavlovic PhD, in her address to the guests from Russia, briefly presented the leading tourist attributes of the northern Serbian province, paying special attention to farms and cultural heritage. Referring to the current situation with the corona virus and the impossibility of presenting the tourist offer of Vojvodina as it deserves due to the circumstances, she informed the guests about the digital databases of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina (website: www.vojvodina.travel and mobile application: Vojvodina travel). As tourism is currently stagnant, this visit is a good basis for improving the tourism of Vojvodina in the period after the current situation with the corona virus. This preliminary visit is just the beginning of cooperation, which will be deepened in the coming period.
