THE 34TH ALPE-ADRIA TOURISM, CAMPING AND CARAVANNING FAIR IN LJUBLJANA

The 34th Alpe-Adria Tourism, Camping and Caravanning Fair took place for the 34th time in Ljubljana from January 31 to February 3, 2024. This is the most significant tourism event in Slovenia, which focuses on active and sustainable tourism, camping, bicycle tourism, as well as staying in nature.

More than 350 exhibitors from 13 countries presented their offer at the fair. Visitors had the opportunity to discover destinations that offer a variety of contents, such as Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, France, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Nepal, Thailand and Serbia.

The Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, as the main exhibitor, presented to tourists from Slovenia, the entire scope of tourism products of the province, together with tourism organizations of Sombor, Vršac, Šid, Subotica, Apatin, Temerin, Kikinda, Valjevo, Trstenik, as well as the offers such as the folk complex “Deliblato Csarda” (Deliblatska čarda), the camp “Mini Yugoslavia”, “Apatin Marina” and “Tour de Fruška”. Visitors were able to learn about tourism products of the Province through printed materials and a promotional film. Slovenian tourists were also informed about the events that will be held on Mt. Fruška Gora this spring, with a special emphasis on the Fruška Gora wine walk “Fruška Walk and Wine” (8 June 2024) and “Gran Fondo” (16 June 2024). These two events attracted the most interest, considering that Slovenian tourists are most interested in active vacations, bicycle tourism, wine and rural tourism.

On the evening before the fair, on 30 January 2024, at the Gulliver, a restaurant close to the fair, a “Vojvodina Evening” was organized for media representatives, colleagues from the tourism industry and businesses. Along with traditional tamburitza music, the attendees had the opportunity to get to know and taste traditional Vojvodina specialties, as well as prestigious wines from the Fruška Gora wine region and to learn about the upcoming wine event – the Fruška Gora wine walk “Fruška Walk and Wine”. The director of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina – Nataša Pavlović PhD and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Slovenia – Mr. Goran Marković welcomed the attendees.

Tourists from Slovenia occupy the 7th place with a share of 5.47% of the total number of foreign tourist arrivals in Vojvodina in 2023.
