Početna / News and Announcements / Study Visit to the Tourism Organisation of Bačka Palanka
The Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina visited Bačka Palanka with the aim to gain insight into the municipality’s most significant tourism assets, natural and cultural potential, as well as its existing tourism infrastructure.
During the visit, discussions focused on the current state of Bačka Palanka’s tourism offer, the municipality’s development potential, opportunities for improving tourism products, and strengthening joint promotional activities. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for developing different forms of tourism, enhancing the value and visibility of natural and cultural resources, as well as further improving and promoting the tourism offer of the area.
The programme included a visit to Tikvara Nature Park, one of the significant Danube recreational areas in this part of Vojvodina, renowned for its exceptional natural values, including rare swamp cypress trees. The programme also included a visit to the beach and the centre of Bačka Palanka, as well as the municipal swimming pool, which forms part of the destination’s sports and recreational offer. The programme continued with a visit to the City Museum, where the rich history and cultural heritage of Bačka Palanka and its wider area were presented, followed by a visit to Karađorđevo, which, with its natural, cultural and tourism assets, represents significant potential for the further development of the municipality’s tourism offer. In addition to these destinations, the existing accommodation capacities were assessed through visits to two hotels, with particular attention paid to the conditions available for tourists. The programme concluded with an introduction to one of Bačka Palanka’s distinctive gastronomic traditions – the famous Guinness Record-Holding kotlić, which represents an interesting blend of local tradition, gastronomy and hospitality.
Study visits to local tourism organisations represent an important aspect of cooperation between the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina and local partners. Direct insight into tourism resources, infrastructure and destination offers enables a better exchange of experience, joint assessment of development potential, and the creation of new opportunities to improve tourism products and strengthen their promotion at the level of Vojvodina.
