The official data of the Statistics Office of the Republic of Serbia show that 188,557 tourists visited Vojvodina in the period from January to April 2024, a for 6.4% increase year over year. Of the mentioned total number, there were 105,478 domestic tourists, with an increase of 9%, while the number of foreign tourists was 83,079, an increase of 3.2% compared to the same period in 2023. Vojvodina was visited by 37,139 domestic tourists in the month of April alone, achieving an increase of 9.6% compared to April last year.
Novi Sad recorded the largest number of visits in April, 22,735, of which 11,486 were domestic, which contributed to an increase of 14.6% compared to the same month last year. The total number of overnight stays is 51,319, of which 19,834 were made by locals, i.e. an increase of 13.9%. Subotica was visited by 14,206, of which most were domestic tourists, i.e. 9,522 or a 14.7% increase compared to April 2023.
In Vojvodina, 539,724 overnight stays were realized in the period from January to April, which is a slight increase in the amount of 2.9% compared to the same interval of the previous year. Domestic tourists achieved a slightly higher number of overnight stays, 270,970 to be exact, while the number of foreign tourists’ overnight stays was 268,754.
Vrdnik Spa, as usual, records the highest number of visits, which in the period from January to April this year is 29,500, or an increase of 42.3% compared to the same period last year. Domestic tourists are much more present with a number of 20,800, while foreign tourists are at 8,700, with a large increase of 74.3% comparing these months in 2023.
A total of 5,657 domestic and 2,689 foreign tourists enjoyed the Fruška Gora in April, with an increase of 33.2% compared to April last year. The total number of overnight stays in April was 15,950.
According to the internal statistics of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, we see that the Info Center was visited mostly by tourists from the Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey and Spain in the first four months.
