Working Visit to the Zrenjanin City Tourism Organisation

The Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina carried out a working visit to Zrenjanin, with the aim of learning more about the city’s most significant tourist attractions, natural and cultural resources, as well as its existing tourism infrastructure.

During the visit, discussions were held with Sanja Petrović, Director of the Zrenjanin City Tourism Organisation, focusing on the current state of Zrenjanin’s tourism offer, the city’s development potential, as well as opportunities to improve tourism products and strengthen joint promotional activities. Special attention was given to opportunities for developing different forms of tourism, enhancing the value and visibility of natural and cultural resources, and further improving and promoting the tourist offer of the area.

The tour of Zrenjanin’s most significant cultural, historical and natural sites began with a visit to the Carska Bara Special Nature Reserve, complemented by a catamaran ride. After the boat tour, members of the “Banatski Fruštuk” Women’s Association welcomed us on the shore with a traditional breakfast. We then visited the “Lujza” farmstead in Belo Blato, the “Peskara” City Beach, the Beer Museum, the “Čepel” sport fishing lake, and Malo Jezero (Little Lake).

The visit continued with the National Museum of Zrenjanin, the “Toša Jovanović” National Theatre, the city’s historic architecture, and the Tourist Information Centre. Zrenjanin and its surroundings represent a unique blend of nature, active holidays, gastronomy, tradition, and rich cultural heritage — precisely the elements that make Vojvodina a distinctive tourist destination.

The working visit to the city of Zrenjanin took place in a constructive atmosphere and contributed to further strengthening cooperation among local tourism partners and exchanging experiences, with the aim of improving and further developing the region’s tourism offer.
