According to statistical data of the Statistics Office of the Republic of Serbia, 219,239 tourists visited AP Vojvodina in the period from January to the end of July 2021, a 61.5% increase year over year. The number of arrivals of domestic tourists in the same period amounted to 151,800, which is an increase of 59.9%, while the number of arrivals of foreign tourists amounted to 67,439, which is an increase of 66.3% compared to the previous year. The total number of realized overnight stays for the first seven months in 2021 is 602,923 overnight stays, an increase of as much as 67.4% compared to the same period in 2020. The increase in overnight stays of domestic tourists amounts to 52.5% (409,708 overnight stays), and foreign as much as 111.3% (193,215 overnight stays) compared to the same period last year.
The spa that recorded the largest number of arrivals for the first seven months of 2021 is Vrdnik Spa, with 32,534 arrivals, an increase compared to the same period in 2020 of as much as 127%, while the number of overnight stays increased by 91.2 % (77,145 overnight stays) compared to the first seven months of the previous year. In second place in terms of the number of realized arrivals and overnight stays is Junaković Spa, with 52.3% increase in the number of arrivals and 30.1% increase in the number of overnight stays compared to the previous year.
The cities that recorded the largest number of tourist arrivals in the first seven months of this year are Novi Sad, where there was an increase in arrivals in the amount of 69.3% and Subotica, where the increase in arrivals is 42.9% compared to the same period last year.
Based on the internal records of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, the Info Center of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina was mostly visited by domestic visitors, and the majority of foreign visitors came from Russia, USA, Hungary, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain and the Netherlands. The tourists were mostly interested in cultural heritage, active vacation, events and gastronomy.
