INCREASE IN THE TOTAL NUMBER OF VISITORS IN AP VOJVODINA FOR THE FIRST EIGHT MONTHS OF 2023

The official data of the Statistical Office of the Republic for the first eight months of 2023 show an upward trend in tourist traffic in Vojvodina. In the mentioned period, there was an increase in the number of tourist arrivals by 2.9% (463,504 arrivals) compared to the the same period of the previous year.

The number of foreign tourist arrivals increased by as much as 6.6% (25,756), compared to the same period in 2022.

In the mentioned period, there were a total of 1,304,062 overnight stays, which represents an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period last year. The number overnight stays of foreign tourists increased by 7.8% (658.359 overnight stays), compared to the first eight months of 2022.

The Vrdnik Spa recorded an increase in both arrivals (6.9%) and overnight stays (7.9%) of tourists for the first eight months of 2023.

The Fruška gora National Park also recorded an increase of 6.7% in arrivals and 10.7% in overnight stays. The increase in foreign tourist arrivals of as much as 59.2% was recorded, while the increase in overnight stays by foreign tourists was up by 54% compared to the same period in 2022.

An increase in the number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays was recorded in Novi Sad, Vršac and Bečej. Novi Sad recorded an increase in total tourist arrivals by 11.5% (152,643 arrivals), as well as an increase in overnight stays by 6.7%.

The city of Vršac saw an increase in the number of tourist arrivals by 6.3% (11,169 arrivals) compared to the the same period last year.

According to the internal statistics of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, in the period from January to August 2023, in addition to domestic tourists, the Info Center was visited by tourists from Germany, the Russian Federation, Slovenia, France, Spain and the United States of America.
